About the Event
Join us for this interdisciplinary one-day event bringing together academic and activist perspectives to advance democracy research and practice. The symposium, “Justice & Change in Australian Democracy Today – Thinking, Sharing and Doing!”, will take place during the day as a hybrid event, in person at UniSA as well as via zoom for online participants. This will be followed in the evening by an in-person screening of the documentary, “The First Wave”, with Q&A panel and networking afterwards, hosted by Rising Tide.
The symposium, which will include poster presentations, will cover themes of:
•Scholarship of social justice & social change,
•Aboriginal justice & social change, and
•Advocacy & academia as partners in social justice & social change.
